Football 4 Charity is a not-for-profit organisation raising money for Tommy's, the baby charity, which funds research into premature birth, miscarriage & stillbirth. It is an entirely voluntary organization with no paid staff, so you can be sure all money goes directly to those who need it most. |
RulesNEW FOR THIS YEAR1) UNLIMITED PRE-SEASON TRANSFERS.The fantasy league season will start on August 16th so you'll be able to assess the early season form before committing to your final selections! But that's no reason not to enter early as between now and August 16th you'll be able to make unlimited transfers to your team. After then you only have 12 transfers to last the season as before. 2) A MAN OF THE MATCH AWARD.The Football 4 Charity panel will decide on a Man of the Match for every Premiership and FA Cup game. These will be published on the website and the player will receive five bonus points. 3) PART-MATCH CLEAN SHEETSDefenders who come on as subs or go off during a game and keep a clean sheet for the time which they are on the pitch will receive two points only for their clean sheet. Thus players who come on in the last minute will no longer get the same award for a clean sheet as someone who played the whole 90 minutes. GENERAL RULESTHE BASICSSelect a team of your favourite premiership players, in a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 formation. The total value of your team must NOT exceed your £50 million budget, but there is no restriction on the number of players that you can select from one club. PRIZESThe prize money for the Premiership Fantasy Football League (08/09) is as follows:
SCORINGPlayers score points depending on how well they perform in Premiership & FA Cup games. Europe and Carling Cup matches DO NOT count. The point scoring system is as follows:

Appearance on a winning team = 1 Playing a full match = 2 Playing a part match (ie being subbed or coming on as a sub ) = 1 Goal scored (including penalty shootouts) = 7 Assist to goal = 4 Hat-trick = 9-point Bonus (so a hatrick is worth 30 points in total)
Own goal = -3 Penalty miss (including shootouts) = -5 Booking = -2 Sending off = -5
Defenders/Goalkeepers
Full match clean sheet = 5 Part-match clean sheet = 2 Goal conceded = -1 per goal Penalty save (goalkeepers only) = 5 TRANSFERSYou may make unlimited transfers before the season starts but once points start to be scored on August 16th, you have a 12 transfers to use throughout the season. These transfers can be made when you log in via team management. A transfer lock will be activated between midday and midnight on Saturdays and Sundays and during midweek games to prevent people making transfers during games or while we're updating the scores. You may change the formation of your team during the transfer process. |
