Football 4 Charity
Football 4 Charity is a not-for-profit organisation raising money for Tommy's, the baby charity, which funds research into premature birth, miscarriage & stillbirth. It is an entirely voluntary organization with no paid staff, so you can be sure all money goes directly to those who need it most.

About Us

Football 4 Charity was established by me, Sam Munnings, in 2001 as a non-profit organization. It raises money through fantasy football leagues and other football-related events for HOPEHIV and Tommy's, the baby charityHOPEHIV raises money for Aids-related causes in Africa, while Tommy's, the baby charity provides pregnancy information and funds research into premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage.

With the exception of prize money and the money used to build this website, all the money we receive goes directly to charity. This year's Premiership game (2007/8) will be entirely in aid of Tommy's.  Football 4 Charity is an entirely voluntary organization. We do not pay any staff and we make every attempt to get any promotional materials donated free of charge, so you can rest assured that your money is going directly to the people who really need it.

I would like to thank everyone who has taken part in any events run by Football 4 Charity. I would also like to thank Eskola Education for their continual support and funding of Football 4 Charity. Without their support, none of the events would have been able to take place. A big thanks also goes to all our other sponsors and organizations that have made donations (see sponsor list.)

How & Why Football 4 Charity Was Set Up:
My brother was given £10 as part of the 1010 Challenge at his local Church in Leicester in which participants are given £10 and asked to raise as much from it as they can. He did not have the time to take part, so I accepted in his place.

I started off by running a Fantasy Football League in the season of 2001-2002, with 24 teams entering at £2 each, raising £48. Football 4 Charity has now run a total of five fantasy football leagues, along with many other events.

Many Thanks,
